IPMUN Connect is building a culture of dialogue, critical thinking and social awareness, one conversation at a time.

When Learning Goes Beyond the Classroom

What happens when students stop merely learning about society and start questioning how it works?

The first meeting of IPMUN Connect, held on 2 October 2025 in Anand, explored precisely this idea: creating a space where young people can exchange perspectives, challenge assumptions and engage with questions that shape the world around them.

From Individuals to Society: Understanding What Shapes Us

The discussion explored how society influences individuals, how individuals bring about social change, and how ideas translate into collective action. Historical figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj provided a starting point for examining leadership, public influence and the forces that shape movements.

Conversations also extended to protests, governance, community security and the growing influence of social media on public opinion.

These are not distant academic concepts. They influence how young people interpret events, understand differing viewpoints and form opinions of their own.

Why This Matters for Education

The vision of NEP 2020 extends beyond rote learning to critical thinking, experiential learning and holistic development. Platforms like IPMUN Connect complement classroom education by encouraging students to ask questions, articulate arguments, evaluate information and engage constructively with disagreement.

For students, it makes intellectual exploration engaging and relevant. For parents and educators, it offers an opportunity to nurture confidence, curiosity and responsible citizenship.

Building a Culture of Dialogue in Anand

The purpose is not to ensure that everyone agrees, but to create an environment where young people learn how to think, not what to think.

Because education is not simply about understanding the world as it exists. It is about developing the ability to question it, challenge it and contribute to shaping what it becomes.

IPMUN Connect is a step towards making that culture of critical thinking and meaningful dialogue a part of young people's lives in Anand.
